We would like to change the subject of the default registration email that event espresso sends out.
We are aware of the email manager which lets you generate additional templates but we would like to change the default one. Where can we do this?

In the WordPress dashboard, go to Event Espresso > General Settings. The default emails are there and the subject line can be amended.

I see only the subject line for the payment part and not the default registration confirmation. I can only change the content of the email but I’m not seeing the subject anywhere.

My apologies Omar, I saw the same thing and assumed they both had one.

I am not entirely sure why the registration email does not have a subject line. I do know that moving forward with Event Espresso 4.0 that is not an issue as we have completely revamped the notification system.

As such currently the only way to amend the site wide registration email subject would be to edit a core file (email.php) which we do not recommend.

I am sorry about that, but it will be resolved in the next major version of Event Espresso.

I think we will do the edit of the core file for now, we just want to prepend something to the subject. Your confirmation for: ……..
any idea on which line this can be done?

Hi,

I havent tested it out, but it should be event-espresso/includes/functions/email.php at line 303 where it states

$data->email_subject = !$data->multi_reg ? $data->event->event_name : $org_options['organization'] . __(' registration confirmation', 'event_espresso');

Is this something we could change with the custom files addon?

Hi Omar,

Not in this case because it’s not attached to a hook or within a pluggable function.
