Category Shortcode not working in Template

Trying to call a shortcode using php in my home page template and it gives no results – nothing. Confused.

and i have tried the category name as well with no luck.

Any suggestions? Using V 3.1.30P and WP 3.5.1

Are you using the “Unique Category Identifier”, such as “category-1-1360869447”? Are you sure that there are events with that category?

yes it appears the code didn’t come through – I have tried the category identifier name and id – neither produced a result – I got around it doing a custom query – so not crucial at this point;-)But odd because I have used it before with no issue.

Hi Ann,

Are you using 3.1.30.7? There was a hotfix added since 3.1.30 that affected the category shortcodes, and the fix affected the event list templates.

nope – thanks for the info. Like I said did a work around anyway… but on the next one;-)
