I specified event start as 7pm and saved it.
However, “view event” showed it differently.
I tried to save it several times but the result was the same

thank you Lorenzo for your reply.
what happen to my site is that every time i save an event, the event start and end time would shift 4 hours early. for example, if i put in 10am and save it, i will see 6am instead. if i click on save again, i will see 2am.
it definitely looks like a bug. can anybody help us quickly?

Are you running the latest software at 4.2.4?
Also what is the format that you are using for the time format setting in WordPress admin –> Settings –> General?

We just installed the software a few days ago as a new customer. so the version is that latest and I failed to create my first event.
the date time format is May 28, 2014 8:02 pm.
Please advice.

Another plugin could be interfering with how the datetimes are saved. Do you have any plugins that might have a scheduling or a calendar feature?

yes, you are right! i removed a scheduling plugin and everything works as it should.
