Can't resell cancelled tickets

Hi. We have a multi date event which has 20 places and 20 tickets were set up for this. The event was free and so everyone who registered was automatically approved. Since then two registrants informed us that they can’t now attend and naturally we want to make their places available to others to book. We deleted their registrations (not sure if we should have done that) and then noticed that two tickets weren’t automatically made available. We guessed that must be because the system had recorded the event as having been fully registered and so we created two new tickets for the event but the event is still being shown as ‘Sold out’. Please advise. Thanks

It would have probably been better to change the status for those registrations to “Cancelled”. In any case, if you go in to edit the event is there a Publish button? If so, you click that button to remove the Sold Out status.
