Can't enter Support License Key on EE4+ Multisite & Calendar Has Disappeared

We recently installed the EE4 Everything License – it is a multisite installation – and our website is prompting us to enter the Support License Key on the Organization Settings page, but there’s no field to enter it – not on the local site level, or the main site admin level.

I searched through this forum and found several threads with the same issues, but none of those solutions have worked for us. I’ve deactivated and reactivated all EE4 plugins, but the field has never appeared for us to enter our Support License Key.

On top of that, our calendar has disappeared and I’m not sure if that’s a related issue, or completely different. Yesterday we updated our WordPress, so that could have thrown a wrench into our settings too, and that’s what I’m trying to figure out.

Yesterday, before the calendar disappeared, registrants were also having problems completing the registration form. After filling in the initial contact information and completing all fields, a red error message popped up on the screen stating, “An Error Has Occurred: First Name is a required value,” despite having filled in that field…multiple times.

Please help! Right now I’ve set up a completely different plugin to display our events while our EE4 calendar is dead, but it’s just a temporary band aid and not the best solution.

Hi Lisa,

It turns out that you don’t need to update EE4 to fix the calendar or the First Name is a required value error. You need to update your theme because it’s not compatible with WordPress 4.5.

With WP multisite, the license key field will be on the site with ID 1. If Event Espresso isn’t activated for that site, you will not see a General Options page there, and thus no key field.
