Can't Create Custom Email Templates

Hello! After launching my website to WPEngine, I notice that I’m not able to create new custom email templates from the Event editor. The process hangs infinitely. I’m guessing that this may be WPEngine-related because we had caching issues in relation to EE previously, and this problem did not occur on my development environment (hosted elsewhere).

Just to clarify, we can EDIT existing email templates (that problem was solved by excluding caches), but we can’t create new ones.

Hi there,

This is an issue we are aware of and will have a fix in the next version of Event Espresso, it is not an issue due to WPEngine.

To create custom messages on the current version you will need to do so outside of the event editor.

Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates.

Click the next to the message type to create a custom template, set the name and description there and save.

You can then refresh the event editor and select that message template for the event.

We’ll get this fixed up shortly, but the above should help in the meantime.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for clearing up the problem. I had been looking for a workaround in the “Custom Message Templates” tab, and it didn’t occur to me to try the “Default Message Templates” tab instead.
