I recently inherited an out of date wordpress site and upgraded it to v3.9.2 and Event Espresso to 3.1.13.P. Things look fine, but when trying to update an existing event, we get “Cannot load events.” when trying to publish changes to the Attendee Limit or the Event Description. Not sure where to start to troubleshoot this… can someone help?

Hi Emily,
Updating to the current version of Event Espresso 3 (which is 3.1.36.5.p) will fix this. There was a significant change in WordPress around version 3.3 that made it necessary to change EE3 so it could still load events. The fix was released in Event Espresso 3.1.15.p almost 3 years ago, but I guess they never updated.
If they can’t purchase a support license to get the latest version of Event Espresso 3, the lite version is available to download here:

i don’t think they use the free version. is there any way to tell? i would hate to put the lite version on and have them lose functionality.

Hi,
If you check the version in the Plugins menu, it should say whether it is the Lite version or not.
If you would like to upgrade to the latest version of Event Espresso premium, a new licence will need to be purchased – https://eventespresso.com/pricing/
