Recently purchased and installed ee (our developer had used his own account to build our website) so we could upgrade as needed. We are nubes, don’t do coding and need help as ee won’t open from the dashboard. Getting “The incoming statuses argument must be an array with keys as the $status_id and values as the $status_code EEM_Status – localized_status – 240” error message. Contacted host and they say it is ee issue. Read some other posts, host says apache is working fine. Have no idea where to go. Please assist.

Hi Dawn,

There are a couple of causes to this.

One is a failed update (or updating incorrectly via FTP), this is the easiest to fix so start with that.

Can you let me know which version number of Event Espresso you are currently running please?

You can find this within Dashboard -> Plugins.

Find Event Espresso in the list and let me know the version number it shows there. (It should also be shown at the very bottom of the admin)

Site crashed on Friday. Host reloaded, but cannot access ee. 4.8.43p is loaded and visible on the dashboard. Get below at top of many pages.
“The following errors have occurred:
There were errors creating the Event Espresso database tables and Event Espresso has been deactivated. To view the errors, please enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file.
A database error has occurred. Turn on WP_DEBUG for more information.”

Hi Dawn,

Do you have a backup of the database from before this happened two days ago?

Yes. SQL file. Not sure what to do with it, though. Sad, eh?

Your developer or your host should be able to take that backup and use it to restore the site back to that point.

Our host restored us back to April 23rd. I have a copy of the full site back to 5-4-16 but have no clue how to upload it. We have no developer. RIght now, after the restore to April, espress is still indicating: Version 4.8.40.p, then upon attempt to activate: “There were errors creating the Event Espresso database tables and Event Espresso has been deactivated. To view the errors, please enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file.
A database error has occurred. Turn on WP_DEBUG for more information.” Any ideas?

Hi there,

Was there a developer that set this site up originally? You mentioned earlier tha:

our developer had used his own account to build our website

The first thing to find out is if someone tried to lock down the site so that WordPress can’t add tables. Generally if you see a error that says “There were errors creating the Event Espresso database tables” it’s usually because WordPress doesn’t have the permission to add tables. Is that something your host can check to see if that’s the case?

Our developer is long gone unfortunately. My host, bluehost, would not answer me regarding permissions with uploading tables. It appears that I can though. The backup I have is the database information for the entire site. Not sure how to extract only the ee data to upload. Thanks for your time. Glad I paid for a 3 month membership. 🙂

In this case you wouldn’t extract only the ee data to upload, that’s a very tricky thing to do and error prone. Instead, you’ll need to make sure that WordPress can read and write to the custom tables that Event Espresso added. It’s more than likely they are there and just can’t be read or written to.
