Cancelling a Ticket from a Group

I’m trying to determine the best way to do this…

I have a ticket that needs pre-approval. One of my registrants is requesting 8 tickets but only 7 are approved. How can I set her account to Pending + Notify for the 7 and not the 8 and her be billed correctly? Her registrations shows that she owes for the 8.

Hi Tammy, did you cancel the last registration in the group by placing a checkmark next to it and then selecting cancel registration from the bulk actions dropdown and applying it?

I changed the registration to “CANCEL” but the amount due is still showing for the 8 instead of the 7. How do we change the amount due to reflect just the 7 instead of the 8?

Add a refund (refund button) along with a note to the transaction via the payment details area like this:

if we mark only the 7 as “Pending Payment” will their billing be for the 8 or the 7 that were approved?

The reason I asked is because they haven’t paid since they aren’t approved yet. But once we approve them, I want to make sure they’re only invoiced for the 7 instead of the 8. I did a refund but since nothing has been paid, it’s not reflecting. Just trying to figure out the process for only billing for those that are approved.

Hi Tammy,

Currently there is no way to alter a registrations transaction amount other than to apply a payment/refund amount (which I don’t think will work for you as it will show a payment) so to do the above you would need to cancel the existing registrations and manually re-create the registration with the 7 attendees information provided.

This can be done through the admin and the registration/transaction will show the correct price.

You can apply the registrations by going to Event Espresso -> Events.

However over the Event Name and click on ‘Registrations’.

At the top you’ll see ‘Add new registration’, clicking this will display the ticket selector for that event.
