Hi there, |
Hi Kate, Cancelling an event does not automatically send cancellation emails to the registrations for that event nor does Event Espresso automatically issue refunds. When you cancel an event you need to set the registration status of the registrations for that event to Cancelled and send the cancelled registration message type (you may need to enable this message type on your site) Refunds will need to done through your payment gateway. Which gateway are you using? I can provide details of the steps needed but can you tell me if the Registration Cancelled message type is active on your site please? Go to Event Espresso -> Messages. Find the Registration Cancelled message type in that list, does it looks like this – http://take.ms/aavvW |

Hi Tony, |
Hi Kate, the offline payment methods like Invoice, Check, and Bank Transfer do not transfer any funds on their own. This means that a refund can’t be initiated through your WP dashboard. Please double-check with your bank on how to return to the funds to the attendee/registrant. Another option that comes to mind is sending the registrant/attendee a check. However, I would double-check with the local bank on a best practice on how to handle a refund. — |
