In our custom template for a ticket, we would like to include one or two custom fields we’ll be creating for the event. In the HTML editor is there a way to bring in those custom fields using a shortcode?

Yes, you can use custom fields in any message template that supports the [EVENT_META_*] shortcode.

After the “*”, you add the exact name for your custom field, if there is a value set for that custom field within the event then it will be output in place of the shortcode.

Thanks Josh – that worked like a charm! BTW, one of the custom fields we’re making is the Date of the event, because there’s no easy way to get rid of the Time when using the built-in shortcode for Date (at least none that I’ve found, and there’s no class attribute for Time to allow us to make it disappear).

It turns out the [DATE_START] shortcode will output just the date without the time. I’m glad you got things worked out.
