Bundle Problem – registration and messages only shows primary registrant's name

When an attendee signs up for our bundle option, the registration only shows the primary’s name, but when you go in you can see the other attendees. When the message goes out, however, only the primary’s name and info is sent – not any of the other attendees that have been registered. Please advise.

Hi there,

This usually means your not using the Personal Information question group to collect information for additional registrants.

Can you link me to the event in question so I can take a look?

Hello. I think I sent you the link just now. Did you get it?

I did, thank you.

Ok, so the ‘First Name’, ‘Last Name’ and ‘Email’ questions in your ‘Attendee Information’ question group are the important system questions, in order for the attendee to show the ‘correct’ name/details for each individual registration you must use those 3 question to collect the First Name, Last name and Email address.

Right now you have them only assigned to the primary registrant and then additional registrants have another question group that has a custom question for first name, last name and email. EE won’t use those for attendeee information, it needs to be the system questions so you’ll need to shuffle your questions/groups around a little.

I can talk you through how to do this, but it’s going to change how ‘additional’ registrations work on all of the tickets on your event so to before we continue…

When a user selects say 4 ‘Individual’ tickets, do you not want those registrations to show separately for each individual? Right now it would do the same as the foursome ticket and show 4 X the same user (the primary).

The same would apply for a combination of any of the tickets, with your current setup they would all show up as the same user X number of times (X being the number of tickets the selected in the group), I’m assuming thats not how you want this to work and each individual ticket should show the correct registrant details in emails and in the registration list? Yes. If the registrant chooses the bundle of 4 for the golf tournament, we would want to see them as the primary registrant and the separate names for the other 3 attendees under that bundle.

And also if an user is buying 4 “individual” tickets, we would want to see the names of the people attending, not necessarily the person purchasing the ticket. We would want to see the correct registrant details in the emails and registrations.

OK, so the way EE would expect that to be done is using what you have as the ‘Attendee Information’ group with at least the 3 system question in that group.

That group needs to be asked for each registrant or EE to add them as separate registrations, your other question groups then ask additional questions that don’t apply to each individual registrant.

You’ve changed the setup of your registration form since my last reply, my I ask why you now ask 2 sets of attendee information on the primary registrant?

Could all of those questions not just be asked in a single group and asked for each registrant?
