BUG REPORT – Sharing buttons issue

Just installed EE4. When creating an event I un-check the option to “show sharing buttons”. When I create event or ‘update’ an event, I scroll down and the sharing buttons option is checked off again!!!

Is there any way to make the sharing buttons sit at the bottom of the event description? Right now they are right below the featured image. Also, at the bottom there are “comments disabled” and “feedback” titles. I don’t want these. I didn’t allow comments of pingbacks. How do I get rid of these ‘comments’ ?

here is the link:

thank you!

Hello,

Event Espresso 4 doesn’t come with sharing buttons so this may be from another plugin. What social media sharing plugin are you running?

I am running the Noisy theme, which generated the share buttons. I tried removing all sharing buttons within the theme, and that fixed the issue on the event description, but now the sharing buttons don’t show up anywhere on the site.

If EE doesn’t include sharing buttons, why is there that checkbox option in the event editing page? How come it keeps staying on, even if I click it off?

thanks!

That is coming from your theme or another plugin. You can confirm this by temporarily switching your site onto defaults:

+ Default WordPress theme such as Twenty Twelve
+ Only Event Espresso running

Be sure to restore your site after testing.
