Braintree Gateway Error

Hello,
I am getting an error when trying to use Braintree. First question is can you use a Sandbox account?

If no,that probably my error and i just need someone to confirm.

If yes, i am getting the following when clicking the pay button.

“EEA_Braintree\Exception\Authentication: There was a problem in trying to Configure Braintree. Please ensure that you are using the right account for this environment.”

I have verified the API keys and Merchant ID is correct. Can someone please offer some assistance.

Yes we use sandbox accounts to test. When you set up the gateway settings and use sandbox API keys, you’ll also need to be sure to set Debug Mode On? to Yes.
