Billing address in invoice

Have read several topics about this but haven’t found an answer to my issue.
Some of our clients want there invoice to another address, so I made a new question group with questions for the billing address. How do I put that into the invoice template?

I found a topic form last year where it is suggested that one should put in the [ANSWER_*] shortcode tag. That does not work in that template in the main content.
Only in the attendee_list I could use that shortcode, but I also can not use the attendee_list in the main content.

What I actually need is a possibility to ask for a billing address in the invoice payment option which is than used in the invoice template.
Any ideas?

Hi, have you tried using one of the other shortcodes that will work there?

For example, add the Answer* shortcodes to the [ATTENDEE_LIST] area.

Then add the [ATTENDEE_LIST] shortcode to the [EVENT_LIST] area.

Now you can add the [EVENT_LIST] to the main content area.

Interesting way to do that but it doesn’t take the [EVENT_LIST] in the main content of the Invoice Template

Hi, I added that shortcode and didn’t see any errors:

What isn’t working?

Hi, could you provide a screenshot?

The point that I’m trying to make is that the EVENT_LIST shortcode should be available for use within the main content area:

I even can’t put the [ATTENDEE_LIST] to the event_list area.

And I would like to replace the whole primary_registrant lines with the answers for the billing address.

Alright, this should work.

1) Change [TICKET_LIST] in the Main Content area to this:

[TICKET_LINE_ITEM_LIST]

2) Add the Answer* shortcodes (for the billing address) to the [ATTENDEE_LIST] area.

3) Then add the [ATTENDEE_LIST] shortcode to the [TICKET_LIST] area replacing any existing content.

4) Now you can add the [TICKET_LIST] to the the [EVENT_LIST] area

5) Then add [EVENT_LIST] to main content area and save changes to the message type template.

You should not see any errors. Then you can remove any shortcodes in the main content area that you do not need and save changes again.

But I also can not add the [EVENT_LIST] code to the main content. I don’t get an error for this, but it just disappears when I click on save.

I imagine these shortcodes are a real difficult thing to program. That must be a very complex thing.
Don’t have other people have that issue with billing address for invoice payments, too?

Hi,

I can request an additional shortcode but its unlikely to be added right away so I’m suggesting a workaround. The shortcode does hold on the current release:

The best would be shortcodes for a billing address which are generated out of the questions and when the billing address is filled out then that should go to the invoice template instead of primary participant.

Hi, I do think those would be helpful and I’ve already created a feature request for new shortcodes to assist with showing that information.

Thanks
