Hello,

I installed WordPress and Event Espresso Premium for the first time. In the beginning everything looks fine, but after a first test with a recurring event I am in trouble:

The site with the short code [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] only shows a white page now. You can see here: http://nwb-akademie.de/?page_id=66

And the site with the short code [EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW template_name=”recurring-dropdown”] doesn´t show any events (but there are events). You can see here: http://nwb-akademie.de/?page_id=71

Can some help me?

Best regards
Markus

Hi Markus,

What page is this? http://nwb-akademie.de/?page_id=77 Is it the default event-registration page or a page with the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode?

Can you also go to the Event Espresso > General Settings page and make sure that the four pages listed in Page Settings are correct and that they have the correct shortcodes. Also make sure that the pages are not in draft, password protected or otherwise not public.

Your Page Settings should look something like this http://d.pr/i/qVu5

Hi,

the page is the default event registration page (general settings). The page ist not in draft and it works before I created a recurring event. The trouble began after that…

Best regards
Markus

Hi Markus,

It appears as though the page http://nwb-akademie.de/?page_id=66 is working now. May I ask what the issue was?

I took a look into the SQL-Database. The recurring event creates thousands of events in the SQL-database. Too much for the system… I deleted these events. Now the site works. I don´t know why this mistake happens…

Might be a query limit imposed by your host, or the server was running low on memory. You may be able to increase the amount of memory available by editing the WordPress config file:
