We are using EE 4.

Hi there,

The default code type used for the barcodes is Code 93, your barcode scanner may need that to be enabled within the settings.

EE supports 4 types of barcode:

code39
code93
code128
datamatrix

You can change which barcode type will be produced by the shortcode by adding type={barcode_type}, for example:

[BARCODE_* w=1 h=100 fsize=18 type=code39]

See which of the barcode types your scanner currently scans.
