Automatic class multi event registration

Hi:

I’m looking at event espresso as an option to automate class registration for my school. Currently when you enroll, you enroll for a year’s worth of recurring events held weekly. I would like my students to be able to register for a recurring class and have them automatically put on the roster for subsequent classes at that same time until the year ends or they drop the class. Does event espresso handle that out of the box? If so, do you have a location where I can see it in action?

Hi Ken,

I have something set up similar to what I think you are referring to. You can check it out here: http://eetesting.info/jon/?ee=54

This is using our Multiple Event Registration Add-on that is included in the Business License.

It is close. I finally was able to put my finger on a description. I need the ability for people to register for a course. That course will have multiple events, but you don’t register for each event. Does that make sense? Can Event Espresso handle that?

Tks,
Scott

Hi Ken,

You will want to create each instance of the event, but then add a Alternate Registration URL (the URL of the first event in the series) so that all attendees register under the same event. That way all attendees are all in the same list.

You’ll want to create multiple instances of the event so they show up in the schedule and your calendar. The process will be pretty seamless for each user.

The Recurring Events Manager (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-recurring/) might be helpful to schedule all your events and edit all of them in the series.

You might also want to make your confirmation emails a little more generic by saying the event is on-going and is scheduled for “each Wednesday at 4 pm” or something so no matter what date they attend the email won’t say the date of the first event.

That’s the long-winded answer, but does that make sense?
