Authorize.net transaction error.. HELP!

I’m getting the following error when I try to submit a transaction from Authorize.net SIM –

See screenshot attached here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i350of3r9a8abkh/Screen%20Shot%202014-06-13%20at%2011.58.53%20AM.png

An error occurred while trying to repost this transaction tot he merchant. An em-mail has be sent to the merchant inforing them of the error. The following is the result of the attempt to charge your credit card.

The transaction has been approved.

It is advisable for you to contact the merchant to verify that you will receive the product or service.

As of yesterday, I was able to get this to work without the above error, however the thank you page was unstyled.. See this screen shot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cpracl6mo0ayube/Screen%20Shot%202014-06-13%20at%2012.08.07%20PM.png

Looking at another forum post- I thought this was because of an SSL not being present.
I added a subject alternative name to my Standard UCC SSL certificate (since I can have up to 5). And selected the secure page option on the 4 event espresso pages. Now i’m getting the error above where it says it completes, but does not go to the thank you page.

Is this because of the type of SSL Certificate I have? I have another website that is using the same version of the plugin, and i’m getting the same error. Please help

I need to get this resolved quickly. If I need to buy a support token, I’m willing if this is an easy fix.

Thanks

Hi Jamey,

I’ve seen that transaction message happen if the connection between your server and Authorizenet is slow but it looks like you have resolved that issue.

Do you have an https link entered for the Authorizenet relay URL setting in your merchant account?

Hi Lorenzo-

Unfortunately, Nothing has been resolved. Let’s just focus on the one site for now. http://www.2232men.com

If you go to this site: http://www.2232men.com and go to registration, it is secured with an SSL Certificate for the 4 required pages. SSL is through godaddy. Shared hosting account, UCC with up to 5 domains.

Complete the registration and you will see what happens- I get the first screen shot error above.

I’ve entered the following urls into my Auth.net relay url settings:
http://2232men.com/?page_id=306
and
http://2232men.com/thank-you

I would like to resolve this issue first. then we can move on to the women’s website.

I’m also not using any intensive plugins. I’ve tested while disabling all plugins as well. I’m using WordPress HTTPS plugin as well.

I also checked the email I got from Authorize.net concerning the error.. It’s from a timeout.

Do you have the correct URL link entered for the Authorizenet relay response setting in your merchant account?

Also is Force HTTPS on Return URL enabled?

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/payment-settings/#SIM

If its timing out (the original transaction error message), then I would check with the web host to see if there is anything interfering with the connection to Authorizenet’s servers.

I do not see a Force HTTPS on Return URL to enable..

Also, I checked with my host – GoDaddy and there isn’t anything blocking with the connection to Auth.net’s servers..

Any other suggestions?

The reason why I chose Auth.net SIM was because of the simplicity of integrating.. So far I have 2 days into research and trying to make this work.

Hi Jamey,

It you have a dedicated SSL certificate this should be a simple fix. If you go in to your Authorize.net where you enter the relay response url, you’ll change it from:

http://2232men.com/thank-you

to

https://2232men.com/thank-you

please note that since the thank you page is being redirected to https, you will need to make sure this matches the URL set as the relay response.

If you do not have a dedicated SSL cert and cannot get one, the other option is to remove the https redirect to the thank you page. Then you can work around the unstyled thank you page issue by creating a thank you page specific template that includes the necessary CSS within the template (instead of loading in the stylesheets with links).
