Hi Team,
I need some help regarding a recent request I made today. Just wanted to make sure the request is clear enough and is done smoothly.

It is regarding license key at EventEspresso.com: ** removed **

It is currently active for courses.aredsm.com. It should be moved to and active for aredsm.com

  • This topic was modified 5 years, 8 months ago by  Tony. Reason: Removed key

Hi there,

Please do not post your license key on forums as they are public.

I’ve put your reset request through, however, to clarify we do not assign your domain to your key ourselves manually. EE will ping our servers from your site wherever the key is installed and that domain will be assigned to the key.

So if you have a subdomain site courses.aredsm.com and EE is installed on that domain, that’s the domain that will link to your key.

Thank you Tony for your information and assistance. I would need the key to be pointed to aredsm.com.

It looks like that’s the domain linked to the key currently.

Yes Tony, I can see it now under my accounts section. However when I login to my WP admin section it still gives me the error of it being used in multiple domains.

That should not be the case after this step.

Could you kindly assist.

I’ve reset your key once again.

Please go to Event Espresso -> General Settings.

Remove the license key (cut) and save the settings (the key fields should be blank).

Replace the key, and save the settings again.

That should remove the notice.

I followed the exact same steps as you mentioned. The error is still there.

When you say replace, I hope you meant to say paste it back again right?

When you say replace, I hope you meant to say paste it back again right?

That’s correct.

In your opening post, your license key had a period at the end, is that also in the key field?

Is the key icon green or red?

Also if you dismiss the notice, does it come back on the next page load?

1. Thank you for the confirmation.

2. There is no period at the end, as I have entered it manually as well.

3. The color of the key is green.

4. If I manually dismiss, I hope that does not mean issue still persists and only the notification will not come. Let me try and do that.

Could you clarify on point no 4.

If the issue is not the notification, can you clarify what the issue is?

The only thing which I wanted to ensure is that the issue or multiple domain mapping has been resolved.

As notifications work in silos.

So simply wanted your advise on the single domain mapping. Thanks.

If you dismiss the notification and the error happens again (for the reason of having two sites with the same key) you’ll see another new notification.

That makes sense!. Thanks a lot.
