Assigning tickets to names

I have an event with two tickets (basically two subevents….a reunion weekend with a get together + a banquet). When I try to register 2 people for each…it wants 4 names. How can I just have it ask for two names?

How can I just have it ask for two names?

In short, you can’t.

You can have EE request questions for just the primary registrant or all registrants (tickets).

To have it request only 2 names with that setup you would need 2 separate events and use the Multi Event Registration add-on to add both of them to the cart.
