archiving old events to clean up Event Check-in drop down

Hi there. I’m wondering if there is a way to ‘retire’ events to an archive. Since we’ve been using EE for several years, there is quite a list of events cluttering up our Events list that will not be reused and also too many items in the drop down in the Registrations>Event Check-in tab. I’d like to keep the data, but not have every event since the beginning showing up in that menu especially. Is there any way to do this and not just delete the old events? Thanks for any advice!

Hi Kathy,

You can click on Trash from the Events Overview screen to trash an event:

This will move the events to the trash area.

At a later date, you can restore or delete the event permanently.
