Archived Free Tickets being "removed" from number of sold tickets

Hello,
I have an issue in that I am setting previous “free” tickets with “TKT_deleted:true” via the API in order to “archive” them. This works fine for paid tickets as the number of available tickets remains the same when they are archived.

However, when free tickets are archived, the amount of tickets sold is changed. This led to one of our events being slightly overbooked so I just wanted to know if there was a “correct” way of doing this in future.

TLDR: looking for the “correct” way to archive a free ticket via the API while maintaining the sold total.

A potentially better approach that should avoid the issue would be to set the Ticket’s TKT_end_date to a non-future date.

Hi Josh,
That’s fantastic, thanks for the quick reply.
I’ll recommend this to the developer who is working on it.
Thanks for your advice.
