Hi,

I using Version 2 of the App by Define Labs and it works no problem. I have a new customer and have sent them the links from your site to install the app – Event Espresso HD. they are unable to login. I downloaded same app and receive the same error

Is there something different in the versions?

Thanks

Alan

Hi Alan,

Have you installed the JSON API and checked it’s settings? The latest version of the apps no longer user the old Espresso Services files.

Hi Dean,

I setup the JSOn Plugin. I can now login.

However all tickets are declined saying Error: Unable to access Web
No issues with phone on the web etc.

What settings are required for this to work?

Thanks

Alan

Hi Alan,

This doesn’t sound like a settings issue. Can you post a link to the site in question so we can investigate? Along with that, it will be helpful if you can let us know which version of the Espresso JSON Api plugin you have installed, and also temporarily set the Espresso API settings to allow public API access.

Hi Alan,

I checked the site’s event JSON response and it looks like all is in working order. I’m having trouble with logging in with the account creds you sent though. It says invalid username.

Can you check with your new customer and ensure that they’re typing in the correct username, password, and URL when they try to log in with the app?

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your email, unfortunately we will need Admin access in order to examine the issue in detail. Can you provide that?

Also I would suggest upgrading Event Espresso to the latest version, as this in itself may resolve the issue.

Hi,

I ran some tests and could happily log into the app with no errors, but no events would show up.

I think that you are going to need to update the plugin in order to use this as I cannot see any other reason why this wouldn’t function correctly.

Your Event Espresso version is over a year old and a lot has changed since that point, including the JSON API and the mobile apps.

Hi Alan,

Please be sure to update to the latest version of Event Espresso 3 ( currently 3.1.36.5.P ) as Event Espresso 4 isn’t compatible with the ticketing add-on or the JSON api.
