Hey guys –
This has come up pretty frequently and surprisingly there has been no timeline or public commitment to include a deposit or partial payments feature. Are there any plans to implement this in the near future? If so, any specifics would be great.
Also, why don’t you post changelogs for beta releases (eg. 4.5)? This is highly unusual and I’m not sure why on earth anyone (myself included) would want to beta test a product in which they have no idea what changed so they can help test it.

Hi, partial payments/deposits has been accepted by the development team. However, it needs to occur after we finish up our payment gateway rewrite. This is in progress and will be released in a future version of Event Event 4. Once that has been done, we’ll be able to take another look at partial payments. We will also be in a better position to roll out additional payment gateway add-ons for Event Espresso 4.
Software in the pre-release channel are not final and can vary from the actual public release. I think we can share an overview of the changes and we will look into that for the next version that is added there.
