Another Duplicate Registrant Email Question

Registrants are getting two slightly different emails when registering. One correctly shows the registrant name, registration code, tickets purchased, event date and time, etc. The other is missing everything from the name on. So what appears to be the first email generated by the system shows the label for Name, but the data, including the name, registration code, etc is not present. The second email that comes simultaneously has all the correct information.
I’m currently running EE4.5.27 and don’t want to update at this time.

So the issue is, I need to kill that first email that is missing information so that registrants are not getting two confirmations.

I’m running EE4.6.27 and I do not want to do any version updates at this time.

Hi there,

You can disable one of the two email contexts (Primary Registrant or Registrant) by going to edit the template and remove what’s in the To: field.

I had done that and it didn’t work but your suggestion prompted to look again and I realized that we had added a custom template for the registrant email and it had both the registrant and primary registrant enabled. Removing the Primary from the To field there solved the duplicate issue. Thanks for the pointer!

Here’s another pointer: Until you update to a current version of Event Espresso, you’ll likely need to postpone updating to the more recent versions of WordPress (security fixes/minor release point updates are okay).
