I am getting this error, whilst trying to proceed to step 2 of the checkout. I have read a bunch of support topics about this error, but none of them seem to solve my problem.
Can you help me out with this?

Hi there,
The problem is with the JavaScript your theme (Avada) is using, it is incorrect and as of WordPress 4.5+ will throw JS errors on the page, which then breaks the validation within EE.
Your site throws:
Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: [href=#]
Updating to the latest version of Avada should fix this.
If not you will need to modify the main.min.js file and change any instance of [href=#] to [href="#"]
