When we enter a Alternate Registration Page registration URL, the URSER is not taken to this page during the Register Process. Seems not to work at all. Please advise, we are using 4.1.8.reg.

Hello,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I was able to verify on a test site running 4.1.9.1 which is the current version. I’ve created a report for the development team to review and I’ll update this post once I have more information.

Thanks, in the meantime we would like to customize so this will be working under our timeline, which is a few days. Can you point us to the right php file(s) to fix?

Hi,
The file in question is templates/Espresso_Arabica_2014/content-espresso_events.php
The the_permalink() would need to be changed over to espresso_event_link_url()
However, modifying that file directly will not work, you would be best to create some custom theme templates – https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-themes-templates/

Hi Dean! We do have a custom theme and I made the change you suggested. Yet, the user is still taken to the standard registration page and not the alternate URL. Please advise.
I am running 4.1.10

I noticed that the alternate URL does work when you click on the featured image of the single event but it does not work when you click on the register button (this still takes you to the standard registration page).

One thing you can do is alter the ticket selector template part so it displays a link to the Alternate Registration page instead of a ticket selector when an alternate registration url is specified. Here is a gist that you can upload to your create a child theme along with the other Event Espresso templates from the included example Arabica child theme:

Update: Event Espresso 4.1.11 fixes the issue reported in this thread and is now released.
