All Registrations CSV Export not functional, but Contact List Export works fine

Greetings.

I have been able to use the All Registrations CSV Export function without issue until today. I am still able to use the Contact List Export without any problems. I am running the latest version of WordPress (4.8) and Event Espresso (4.9.43.p).

I have tried increasing the max_execution_time to 120 in both my php.ini and wp-config.php files (I’m on a VPS). I’m trying to export 1,364 registrations which takes less than 15 seconds to complete. The contact list takes about 5 seconds.

I’ve spent about 6 hours troubleshooting and researching online, and I can’t seem to figure out why the export works for contact list, but not for registrations. This is causing a business impact.

Hi Eric,

Can you let me know what actually happens when you try to export registrations?

Do you see an error message?

Are you redirected to a page that looks like this at all? – http://take.ms/UrJHF

You mention it takes 15 seconds, is that from when it previously worked or is it processing something for 15 seconds now and then failing?

If you look at your wp-config.php file do you see anything like this:

define('EE_USE_OLD_CSV_REPORT_CLASS', true);

Yes, when I click on the Export button, I am taken to a page that looks like the screenshot you posted. It iterates through the records, 50 at a time, then redirects back to the All Registrations page. The 15 seconds is how long it takes to return to the All Registrations page after clicking “All Registrations CSV Export”, and redirecting to the generation page.

My wp-config does not contain the define('EE_USE_OLD_CSV_REPORT_CLASS', true); code.

Which browser are you using?

If Chrome can you test in another and confirm if the same happens?

I tried in Chrome originally, then tried Edge, Internet Explorer and Firefox, all with the same results.

Hi Eric,

We recently released an update to Event Espresso that has a fix which should help here.

Can you update to version 4.9.44.p and retest, please?
