Help – i’m testing out the check-in procedure on my iphone 4s using the 1.6.2 mobile version (I cannot connect to the newer one). After checking in the first attendee succesfully, the export function no longer works properly to create the reports. No matter whether Excel or CSV format, It basically spits out all the attendee records up to the person I checked-in and no one after! I need to get this fixed as the meeting starts Monday, and I will need a fresh registration report before we get started. I tried “checking out” the participant that i checked in using the web system, not my phone, but still…the report only prints out registrants before that one individual, and no one after! any else having this issue?? Using Event Espresso – Ticketing by Event Espresso version 2.1.p,
Event Espresso by Event Espresso version 3.1.36.4.P

Hi Elizabeth,

Can you try deactivating the ticketing add-on plugin before you do the export?

When I de-activated and re-activated, it did nothing. When I de-activated (and left it de-actived) then epxorted as you suggested, it fixed the reporting problem! What now? Don’t I need to keep the ticketing plugin activated while this conference is live? Thanks for your help!!

Hi Elizabeth,

Yes, you do need to keep the ticketing plugin activated while the conference is live, but I wanted to see if temporarily deactivating it would make a difference. Is it possible for you to send us FTP credentials via this form so we can investigate further?

Thanks Josh – I just sent the credentials. Monday we will start checking attendees in, so hopefully we can get this straightened out soon. Just an FYI – the attendee that breaks the reporting (whom I checked in originally via the mobile app) is the following: Group 92 327 6-533210937b2a4
you will so the rest simply do not export unless the ticketing plugin is deactivated. thank you!

Hi Elizabeth,

This took a bit of debugging but I figured out that the issue was the function that is used to convert requires a server running at least PHP 5.3. Since your sever is running a much older version of PHP (5.2.17) the export would fail.

I added a little work around function to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/custom_functions.php along with a modified export function there so you will be able to use the export feature along with the ticketing add-on for now. If/when your host upgrades the server to PHP 5.3 the custom functions can be removed.

If anyone else is running an older version of PHP on their server and is experiencing the same issue they can apply the same fix, which is posted in this gist:

Thank you for finding the solution to this problem. I will check out the PHP issue for future events. Looks like that definitely corrected the issue, so appreciate all your help. We did use the 1.6.2 Iphone app with great success this weekend (no luck with v2 still), but we were able to quickly check-in our attendees this year…looking forward to using again!

Hi Elizabeth,

A little clarification about the iOS apps: Event Espresso HD is currently on version 1.6.2 and is the very latest app we offer and support. The original non-HD app has a version 2, but it’s actually an older app.
