Admin notes for Regsitrations in EE4

How to Add “Admin notes” Label and field to add comment on registration. can you tell us how we can do this?

Please look at for more detail in following screenshot. so you get clear idea where i want to show admin notes fields in backend.

Hi Melanie,

I can see your screenshot, can you add it again please?

You can add an ‘admin only’ question through:

Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> Questions.

Add a new question and make sure you check it is an admin only question – http://take.ms/ECF6E

(I have it set to a TextBox question to provide space for notes within the registration)

Once you have created the question you can add it to a question group under the Question Groups tab, here I’v added it to the ‘Personal Information’ question group but you can use any as long as that group is asked for your registrants – http://take.ms/SRPpf

Now within any registration you’ll see that question question within the admin – http://take.ms/RY4vu

I’m looking for the ability to post a note to tell other admins something about the registration, not necessarily the ‘contact’. For example, if I get a call from a parent that the “check is in the mail”, then I want to set the registration to approved, even though it’s still pending payment, b/c I don’t want someone else to register for that seat while awaiting payment in the mail. Would you recommend an alternative solution such as creating custom registration/payment status: approved/payment in mail

Hi Melanie,

You can add a new field for Admin notes for registrations by going into Event Espresso > Registration Form > Add New Question

Then you create a new question and when you fill out the form there, you check the box next to “Admin-Only Question?”. Question Type: Textarea is recommended for a notes field.

Then you assign the question to a question group that’s being used for the registration forms.

Then, when you go to edit a registration, your new admin notes field will appear.
