Adding Registration – You do not have access to this route

When the staff is adding a registration they occasionally get an error that reads:
You do not have access to this route.

They get it every couple of days, but I am told that it eventually goes away. Today I had it happen to 2 staff members at the same time. They have their own logins and I gave them all the “ee” capabilities in WordPress.

Any clues as to what could be causing this?

If you’re not logged in you’ll see that message if you try to navigate directly to that page.

They are logged in and right in the middle of adding a registration. They can hit back navigate all around the backend of WordPress with no issues, but when returning to finish up the registration, the issue continues.
What can they do different so we can continue to add registration manually?

Can you outline the steps to reproduce the issue?

1. Log into WordPress
2. Go to Event Espresso
3. Searches for an event that she needs to do a registration for
4. Click on “add new registration”
5. She picks the ticket type
6. She enters the first and last name and email address
7. Clicks on “Save Registration and Continue to Details”
8. Now she sees a white page that reads “You do not have access to this route”

She is logged in.. so I’m not sure why mid way through a transaction she would see this. She can eventually process the registration by finding the abandoned registration.

I hope this helps to crack the case!

Hi Freddys,

You can follow the steps listed below and that should ensure the non-admins have access to the back end registration route:

1) Update your site to Event Espresso 4.8.35.p
2) Double check and make sure that the custom user role has the

ee_edit_registrations capability.

I have updated. The first user I checked already had the capability.

Hopefully the update fixes this issue. Keep you all posted.
Thank you!
