Hi there
we want a page where all events are listed, but instead of register now, they can put their ticket qty in, and then click one “add to cart” at the bottom (rather than back and forth)
is this a possible set up?
Would a developer need to do it?

Hi there,

To add events to the cart you need to display the ticket selector for that event.

That page is using the table view template to list the events which does not support the ticket selector by default.

However @josh has previously created a template that will load the ticket selector into the table, I’m not sure if it would be suitable for your events but it can be tested easily.

Are you using a custom theme? If not create a child theme for your current theme:

https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2016/01/create-customize-wordpress-child-theme/

Then download this template:

https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/e8fcb3946f56490d1384bfcc449caa9b

and place that file in your child theme’s root directory. The table view add-on will load that template and output the ticket selector for each event.

Is that what you are looking for?

This very close!!
Can the add to cart not spark the pop up?
And then at the very bottom I can add a button that is “Proceed to Registration”
I can manage this second bit
Can you help to disable the pop just on this page?

Rather than removing the popup, you could change the Return to even list to link to the same page so when the user clicks that it closes the popup which may work better?

To do that you can use this function:

https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/e51ac13a3d9fd345ad40

Then just set that function to return the user back to the above page.

Will that just work here, or work across the site anywhere the add to cart button is shown?

Where do i place that function specifically?

Would there be any work around, for just in this table view, “add to event cart” button to just have a success message in the table. So at the end of the page I could place a go to cart button. WOuld this be a custom option someone could develop?

The function as it stands will direct all instances of the ‘return to event list’ button on the popup to direct the user to the URL you specify.

You can place it within a custom functions plugin on your site, we have a tutorial on how to create one here:

Yes its possible to do but it will need some custom development from a developer, if you are not working with a developr currently we have some that are familiar with Event Espresso listed here:
