Add stock back after cart is emptied

I verified that this fix prevents over-selling of events.

https://eventespresso.com/topic/adjust-ticket-quantity-when-ticket-added-to-cart/

I have a datetime with a limit of 1, and I added a ticket to my cart. When I load the event page in a new incognito window, the datetime is listed as sold out. That’s the desired behavior.

However, if I empty my cart, the datetime is still listed as sold out.
I thought maybe I had to wait until the session expires for the ticket to be returned to the available stock, but that did not work either. Once a ticket is added to a cart, it is unavailable.

Is this a known issue with the event-espresso-core-BUG-8698-ticket-sellouts branch?

Hi there,

It turns out that you’ll need the branch of the Multi Event Registration add-on that’s compatible with the BUG-8698 branch. This is because the currently released version of the Multi Event Registration add-ons doesn’t include the work from the new ticket stock feature. Since the Multi Event Registration repo on github is private you can request access here:

https://eventespresso.com/developers/request-repo-access/

In the meantime, here’s the current snapshot of the Multi Event Registration add-on branch that’s compatible with BUG-8698 that you can download and use on your site:

Ah, thanks. I’ll give that MER branch a try.

On a related note, how will I know when these bug branches are merged back into the Event Espresso trunk? Will I just need to check release notes for the list of bug fixes that are included?

Hello,

We will update the change log once this has been merged back into the respective master branches and released.

That information will be updated here:

Hi,

I have verified that the fix works when the cart gets emptied explicitly, but the event is still listed as Sold Out when the session timer expires on a person’s cart. Should the stock be added back if a user fails to checkout within the time specified by FHEE__EE_Session__construct___lifespan ?

It actually takes a bit more time after the timer expires. You will also find that the latest versions of the BUG-8698 branches have more work done on them since we last chatted here. I updated the link to download the MER add-on a few days ago with a more current copy.

Sorry for the stupid question: Where was the MER download link updated?

Dropbox says the file was updated 18 days ago. Is that the recently update link?
