Hi Guys, We have received this feedback from one of our clients.
We’ve looked into developing something to help our client get round this problem but have yet to find a solution…Can you help?

Hi Steven, Is the event closed due to being sold out? If so, you could raise the ticket quantity available (e.g. add one more spot through the event editor) and adjust the end sale date. Then when that registrant is manually registered via your WP dashboard and set to approved, the event will move back to sold out. — |

Hi Lorenzo. Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this doesn’t do what the client is hoping (unless we are missing something). Going through the process you mention still results in the event being available to book from the front end. These events are very busy and this short time can result in someone externally (unintended) getting that ticket. What we are hoping for is a process to manually register an attendee without opening the ticket to the public for however brief a time. Thanks! |
Hi Steven, Currently that isn’t available, the ticket selector within the admin checks the status of the event when displaying the tickets, so if the event is sold out you can not register onto any tickets. However we do understand that for your events there is the possibility another user may register onto the ticket through the front end in the time it is available, you could temporarily set the event to be password protected when the admin is adding the registration. Not ideal but will prevent external users from registering. We have an open ticket for allow admins to place registrations on expired (and possibly sold out) tickets and I will add this thread to that ticket. |
