Add event purchased to mailchimp integration

I’m thinking through how I can add the workshop purchased to the mailchimp integration/information that is sent back to mailchimp fields.

Has anyone achieved this yet that you know of?

Hi there,

Currently you would need to use a ‘Merge Var’, aka “Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags” within MailChimp and then use a snippet to pass the value over.

So within your list you crate a Merge var called ‘EVENTNAME’, then add this snippet to the site:

You can add that to a custom functions plugin and we have documentation on creating one here:

You’re most welcome.

Just incase you don’t know where the above are set in MailChimp (I’m guessing you do but extra info doesn’t hurt).

MailChimp -> Audience -> {select correct audience}.

Click the Manage Audience dropdown on the right and then Settings.

Then click ‘Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags’

Those are your marge vars/tags for your currently selected audience.
