We have a Joomla site using an Authorize.net AIM plugin and a WordPress site running EE4 with the Authorize.net AIM plugin (although this issue was on EE3 as well). For the transactions through the Joomla site the event name appears on the Authorize.net receipts, but for the EE4 transactions the event name does not appear on the Authorize.net receipts. Can you please tell me if there is something I can do to add the event name to the Authorize.net receipts? This is the way the accountant keeps track of which event the transaction was for (authorize.net reports don’t include detailed information). |

It looks like EE4 AIM gateway is sending the line item descriptions, concatenated together with commas, and then trimmed to 256 characters, in the description field to authorize.net, unless it is attempting a partial payment on the transaction, in which case it sends “Partial payent of …”. What are you seeing in the description field on the transactions? |
It sends the names to Authorize.net, that’s fine. It’s not in the Authorize.net transaction description but in Line Items so it doesn’t appear on the receipt or in transaction reports. This is where the issue lies. |

The same code that adds it to the Line Item looks like it’s adding it to the x_description field. Are you on the current 4.4.4 version of EE? Are you seeing anything in the description field at all? |
I’m sorry, it looks like we decided not to make the jump to EE4. We are using 3.1.36.4.P. The Description field is blank. The Itemized Order Information is where everything shows up. |

Hi, please see this: https://eventespresso.com/topic/authorize-net-order-description-missing/#post-51527 However, if you make this change then you will not see multiple event names if the Multiple Registration add-on is in use. — |
|
So if I add the description field I lose the itemized description we already have? Or will I just not see multiple event names in the new description? |
|
You’ll only see a single event name there. If you need the itemized information, then I would not make this change. — |
