I want to be able to let customers add attendees while on the checkout page.
Apparently this should be possible and I’ve setup the option to allow multiple tickets to be bought but the option to add attendees does not show up.
It turns out the one place where they can set the number of attendees is on the page that has the ticket selector. Then when they submit the ticket selector form which includes the ticket quantity, it generates the number of form fields on the checkout page.
ok, so the page contains information from both EE3 and EE4 (and defaults to EE4) but the screenshot and functionality is EE3 only and removed in EE4?
Is there a way (PHP no problem) to be able to let customers add attendees during the checkout?
The functionality from EE3 wasn’t exactly removed, it was replaced by the Ticket Selector. This was due to popular demand for the ability to add multiple ticket types in one event without using Multi Event Registration. So for example let’s say you have two ticket types and you want 1 of each. In EE it didn’t give you the option to select both of the two different types when all it did was show a button to add another attendee. You’d be stuck with that one ticket type for both registrations.
One option you can look into is adding the Multi Event Registration add-on to your site. This adds a cart functionality where at any time they can click on a view cart button and adjust ticket quantities.
