I have reviewed many of the forums that address this issue. None of the solutions have solved our issue.
I was able to change the date of the date time that I wanted to delete to a date in the past. That worked for the removal and it does not show on the site now.
I tried to add a ticket and then remove the other ticket from the date/time. I get this error:
“the ticket you are trying to delete can not be deleted because it is the only remaining datetime for this ticket”
I have this date time associated with 4 other datetimes
Also, when I do this the number of tickets sold is duplicated.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thank you

Hi there,

For screenshots, you need to host the image and post a link here.

SWe have some examples here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots

The section we need is the ‘Event Tickets & Datetimes’ section.

Hello,
My submissions to you do not seem to be going thru.
Any idea why?

Hi there,

Can you try using the New Editor? Go to Event Espresso > Default Settings > Activate Advanced Editor: https://www.screencast.com/t/QJnXyRvGazBE

Set that option to Advanced Editor and save the settings page.

Then please try assigning again.

I copied the link from the media library.

I have done this…boy this is more cumbersome to use…lol

I am sorry..I have messed with this event so much that I have no idea what I did or didn’t do. Can you provide me the basic instructions to delete a date time and add a date time when an event is locked? thank you very much!

The new editor is necessary to support the complexities and loads of Recurring Events.

Sorry to push, but to clarify…those two registration… did they buy a ticket that has access to multiple dates, is that what you’re saying? OR are you saying you have two tickets with associations multiple datetimes that should just have an association with one datetime?

If you are referring to two tickets with access to multiple datetimes, when you only want one, you can edit the ticket assignments by editing the datetime or the ticket. If necessary show the trashed and/or expired tickets too.

Hello,
Yes I did add the new editor. Thanks.
We only have one registration for the event and the event does have multiple dates. When I added the new date/time (all the prior date/times were locked because of the one registration) The new date time increased to 2 registrations. And again changed to locked. Strange …this has never happened.
I am going to see if the new editor allows me to make changes. Maybe start over?

Question: does the new text editor lock the date/time when you have a registration? I didn’t see a lock indicator. This may solve my issues.
thank you!

After someone registers for a non-free ticket, Event Espresso has always locked the ticket for editing the price. That helps to keep the accounting accurate (amounts paid, amounts due, etc.).
