Hi,

Can you describe what you mean by: “setup user accounts as a course instructor or course attendee”?

With Event Espresso 3’s WP User Integration add-on: WP Users Integration (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-members/) there is a My Events page that gives some of that history.

I’ll follow up with each of your questions below:

Not only would we be managing events thru the plugin, but also a couple of meeting spaces (ie; a person could find an open venue via a calendar, rent it for different time periods and pay for it all online). Is this a capability?

Not exactly. If you need to manage renting out venues for specific periods of time, there are booking systems that are designed for this purpose. However, you could also try setting up rental opportunities as “events”, but you’ll find that Event Espresso is built for event registration and management, not venue rental management.

Also – can we setup forms for event registration that can have special needs requests like needing a wheelchair or some other special need?

Yes.

And finally, can an admin setup a user account so that this user could act as a course instructor and be able to login and see the attendees, etc?

Yes, Event Espresso 4 works better for this because you can use a plugin like Members or User Role Editor to grant access to specific capabilities in Event Espresso. So for example they can log in and see the attendees, but not update plugins, create pages, or edit events.

One more – how do I know which version of EE to use for all these requests?
