A few nagging issues after upgrade…

Hi there, I am doing the upgrade for a client of mine and have a few lingering issues I’m hoping someone can help me with.

1. the calendar will not show – I have the shortcode inserted on this page:

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR]

2. can anyone make sense of where the big pilon image is coming from? I don’t have a featured image on any of the events. When I unpublish events to test this theory, the event goes away and the image just bumps down to the next event on the list. You can see what I mean here: http://petersed.com/class-registration/
I’ve searched high and low and can’t find where this might be coming from.

3. plugin prompts for php5.4.33 – currently running 5.4.32 – so I inquired with hostgator and their reply was as follows:

You can set the PHP version on your shared hosting cPanel at any time by inserting the following block of code to the top of any .htaccess file:
# Use PHP54 as default AddHandler application/x-httpd-php54 .php <IfModule mod_suphp.c> suPHP_ConfigPath /opt/php54/lib </IfModule>

To adjust the PHP version to use 5.3 through 5.5 you’ll simply swap out all instances of the 4 in the above code with either 3 or 5 so that it will look like:

# Use PHP55 as default AddHandler application/x-httpd-php55 .php <IfModule mod_suphp.c> suPHP_ConfigPath /opt/php55/lib </IfModule>

Would you say this is the correct method?

Sorry to have so many questions, but I just need a little insight to get this upgrade work completed.

Thanks,
Shayne

NOTE: Running WP 4.0, running latest EE and the latest calendar add-on. Registration page is here: http://petersed.com/event-registration/?ee=_register

Hi,

Could you double-check this event for that image?

http://petersed.com/events/defensive-driver-review-evaluation-6/

You may need to toggle Screen Options in the event editor and ensure that featured image is set. If you don’t see an image, then try adding one and saving to see what happens.

Next, go to the class registration page in the WordPress page editor and switch to text mode. Ensure that there isn’t any extra html wrapped around the calendar shortcode.

The PHP notice about the version can be dismissed. It checks on the initial activation of Event Espresso 4.

Awesome! Thanks so much for your help – two out of three solved. Still not getting the calendar to show. I’ve put it in it’s own page, but no luck. Confirmed there are no extra html wrapped around the code. This is the calendar page: http://petersed.com/large-calendar/

Hi, I can see the calendar resources by inspecting the page but there is a JS error appearing.

Could you temporarily deactivate all plugins and reactivate Event Espresso and the EE4 Calendar? Then could you refresh the calendar page?

If it works, then restore your site a few plugins at a time until you locate the source of the conflict.

Thank you – it appears it was the Gantry Framework. Fixed!

Hi, I’m not familiar with that framework. Were you able to find a workaround?
