Hi there I have a similar question to this post: https://eventespresso.com/topic/3d-secure-payment-implementation-deadline-september-2019-sagepay/ We’ve recently moved from Mijireh/WorldPay to SagePay/Barclaycard and are now being lumbered with extortionate ‘NonQual’ activity fees because we don’t have 3D secure enabled. Barclaycard and SagePay are both telling me that we must enable it by 14 Sept – and I can’t with our current Event Espresso configuration. As with the post above, while we could probably swallow the fees for a short while if we know you’ve a fix on the way, it will be a severe issue for us if we can’t take online bookings. Please can you update me on how near you are to EE accepting 3D secure via SagePay and whether it is realistic to assume all will be well by the 14 Sept deadline? I need to advise my MD/board, who are (understandably) concerned. Thank you. |

Hi, Currently there’s a developer working on adding Cardinal Commerce to Event Espresso 4 core, which can then be used as an integration with the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode services. It’s a work in progress and I do not have an estimate for when this will be ready. If you need 3D Secure today, the Stripe add-on is recommended. More info here: |

Hi Josh, thank you for the update. Unfortunately, I a move to Stripe is not going to be an option for us – the leap in transaction fees alone would be crippling compared to our current setup. With less than a month to do until the compliance deadline, I can’t be the only European Event Espresso user concerned about this, surely? Are you able to give even a vague indication for your development deadline – like ‘a few weeks away’ or ‘probably not until next year’, maybe? We’ve been using EE for a few years now and love it. I really don’t want to have to start looking at alternatives. Any reassurance at this point would be welcome! |

I’m afraid a vague indication of a timeline, using the current information related to scope of work involved, would be a wild guess. Again, a developer is working on the ticket for this. When the SagePay add-on has an update available I’ll be sure to update this topic. |
