Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message templates (assuming you aren’t using a custom template) -> Payment Declined -> Edt Primary Registrant.
In the main content section, switch to Text mode on the editor.
Search for:
‘alternate payment method to secure your registration.’
You’ll see the line that creates the link and the href should look like this:
<a href="[PAYMENT_URL]">
Does your have something like:
<a href="http://[PAYMENT_URL]">
If so, remove the http:// from the above and save.
