I have now installed the WP Crontrol Plugin as suggested.

But I’m getting an error message when I activate it:

There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron events on your site may not work. The problem was:
Unexpected HTTP response code: 403

How do I fix this please?

Hi Daniel,

It sounds like your host has disabled WP Cron, I’d recommend contacting them and have them confirm if that’s the case.

Hi Tony,

I’ve now contacted my host and enabled WP Cron and set a cron job for every 30 minutes.

Is there anything else specific I need to do, or should this now simply sort everything out?
The plugin you recommended now runs without an error.

Do I need to do anything in particular with the setting of the plugin you recommended? Or were you just using it as a diagnostic as to whether WP Cron had been disabled?

?? They’ve done both enable WP Cron AND schedule a ‘real’ cron job for 30mins?

If WP Crontol no longer shows any errors then it should be fine, you don’t need to use it to enable any of the functionality within EE as EE does it itself as long as WP Cron is working.

As long as your events no longer continue to reserve individual tickets longer than an hour you should not need to do anything else.
