Hello,

We still see WordPress as email sender name, even after having set it right in the General Settings. In the edit message page, we’ve put comma separated emails in the “FROM” field instead of using the shortcodes, is that the problem ? is there a way to specify a sender name anyway ?

And also, does the primary registrant receive two email : one for the PRIMARY REGISTRANT and one for the REGISTRANT ? it looks like so, is there a way to prevent this ?

Thanks

Hi Olivier, please try this plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/send-from/

If that doesn’t work, then a transactional email service like Mandrill or Postmark app should fix the issue:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/

PRIMARY REGISTRANT and REGISTRANT are two types of recipients for a message type.

If you are viewing the Messages overview screen, then a blue link for a recipient means that a notification will be sent out when that action takes place. A grey link means that notification is disabled.

Thanks for the plugin, it is working great, even with my multisite !

I know what you say for the type of recipient, my question is more : is the primary registrant supposed supposed to receive also the registrant email

Thanks

It depends on the message type. If you have a look at this screenshot, then you’ll see that primary registrant is available for some message type notifications but not for others:

Which one do you specifically have a question about?

it’s the “registration approved” message,

as we’ve set “approved” for the default status of new registration, the clients receive this email, but they receive it twice that’s the matter

Are you using the same email for the Event author as the “test” attendee that is registering?

Nope, the email are different, and we double checked : the primary registrant receives two message for registration approved :
– as a primary registrant
– as a registrant

Ok I just realized I gave my admin password to the world, not a private conversation here!

So I had to change it, I can give you the new one by email if you need it,

Sorry for the confusion

Hi, I’ve removed your login information.

The latest version of Event Espresso is 4.2.7. Could you please backup and update to the current software?

I’ll go ahead and test out the duplicate notifications issue locally.

Hi,

I’ve done some testing by registering multiple attendees:

Attendee 1 – unique email
Attendee 2 – unique email
Attende 3 – unique email

Each recipient above received a single email.
