Will your plugin do the following? (2)

Hi,

We are a national organization putting on a conference in October of this year.  We are looking for an event management plugin to go on our website.  I’ve used demo sites of 3 different plugins and need to ask some questions.

We have a pretty involved fee structure and I need to make sure I can do all of the “tiers”.  I don’t think I saw a place in demo site to offer a discount to a second person (although there was a place to enter a second person).  Also, we need this to integrate with s2member to verify that the person actually is a member so they get the correct pricing (i know there is wp user, but does that read s2member data also and how is the member actually verified?).   We also need the option of letting the person pay for entries in a contest when they register (and after separately too), and I don’t think I saw a way to have additional, optional, charges like this in the registration form?

Can you please help me confirm that all of these things can be accomplished with the EE plugin?  We need to get the registration form up in 2 weeks.

Thank you!!

Member – need integration with s2member to determine if they are a member or not
early bird – $50
regular – $60
late – $70
Second person with member
early bird – $45
regular – $55
late – $65
Non-member
early bird – $75
regular – $85
late – $95
Non-member paying extra to join org and attend conference – can EE push info to s2m to actually register them at the same time, or will that have to be a manual process?
early bird – $100
regular – $110
late – $115
Vendor
full conference:
member – $75
non-member – $100
Only table – $20
Contest entries (by member and non-members):
pay for entries in contest when register
pay for entries in contest after registering
$5 per entry
$25 cap for unlimited entries
Manual registration (check payers, day of)
Print off registrant list

Well.  I formatted it in the comment box and the formatted was stripped.  Let’s try one last time:

Member – need integration with s2member to determine if they are a member or not
—early bird – $50
—regular – $60
—late – $70
Second person with member
—early bird – $45
—regular – $55
—late – $65
Non-member
—early bird – $75
—regular – $85
—late – $95
Non-member paying extra to join org and attend conference – can EE push info to s2m to actually register them at the same time, or will that have to be a manual process?
—early bird – $100
—regular – $110
—late – $115
Vendor
—full conference:
——member – $75
——non-member – $100
—Only table – $20
Contest entries (by member and non-members):
—pay for entries in contest when register
—pay for entries in contest after registering
—$5 per entry
—$25 cap for unlimited entries

Hello,

In short I think Event Espresso is only a partial match for your requirements.

Let’s start with the membership. The way Event Espresso currently handles it is quite simple. If the user is logged into the wordpress site they are deemed a member. Currently we do not differentiate between different levels of membership.

Members can be given a different price per ticket option to non members.

Pricing wise we offer an early bird discount which is applied to members and non members alike, but there is no late price option available.

There is currently no way to have a different price for the secondary (or more) attendee, unless a discount code is used to reduce the overall purchase price or an honesty system is used where the user would select the ticket type.

Event Espresso does not deal with the actual registration of users, it is a separate process via S2Member.

Regarding “products” in this case contest entries, there are 2 main ways to do this currently. One is to bundle them in with the ticket price, which wouldn’t work for you. The other is to have them as a separate event and use the Multiple Event Registration manager to allow users to add them to cart.

Manual Registration – we have a ticketing add on which allows users to print off or show on their phones the ticket which can be scanned. The iPad app allows manual check in, however the iPhone and Android apps do not.

Registration list – you can export the attendee list to a spreadsheet and print that off or there is a shortcode that can display the event attendees on a post/page which can then be subsequently printed off.

I hope I covered everything but if you have any further questions or need clarification please let me know.
