I want to use printable tickets and scanning and it says I have access to it already. Where is it? how is this activated? I don’t see a section to use these features |
Hi Jason, we have documentation available for all of our add-ons that provides information on getting setup: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-printable-tickets-add-on/#installation The printable tickets add-on is for Event Espresso 4. If you are using Event Espresso 3, then you’ll need to view this documentation instead: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ticketing-add-on/ — |

But I can’t use the scanner on my phone? Why can’t I use the app with EE4? Should I downgrade? how do I check people in easiest? I dont want our employees having access to our wordpress |
You can but not using a dedicated EE ticket scanning app. See here for more details: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-use-a-mobile-device-to-scan-ee4-tickets/
A full app integration is not currently available for EE4.
The easiest method is using the apps shown in the video above.
At all or you don’t want them to have unrestricted access? For example you can use the EE4 Capabilities System to restrict access for their user accounts so they can only access the EE4 Barcode Scanner page, would that work? |

We all have apple devices, how can we use this scanner app on apple ios device? Can we somehow use our Clover POS system scanner? there’s a browser built into clover and we have a scanner. This capabilities system is WAY complex to understand. I am fairly tech savvy but that link you sent is not very easy to understand. Is there just a URL we can go to which shows our employees the list of registrants that are approved and paid? Make this easy for me please. Our check in page on wordpress currently lists registrants that are also not approved for some reason, we have to cross check other systems. Cant I just call your tech team up? Seems like in a 5 min call I can get all the answers rather than message after forum message. Thanks |

I got the ios app you recommend.. it says when scanning, you do not have access to this route Further, when creating a test registrant for this, I am not getting tickets sent to registrants. How do I insure that registrants are getting tickets? |
You can use an app called scan to web on ios devices.
If it has a browser then the it should work if it can scan and pass the value through to the input field selected in the browser? I’m not familiar with that system. What OS does the system run?
Not currently, they would need to log in and filter the Check-in page for the specific event.
Are you using the view from Event Espresso -> Events -> Event Check-in tab? Selecting your event from the list to filter check-ins for that specific event?
Currently we do not provide support over the phone. |

Clover is one of the main POS systems in use in America. It’s a proprietary POS system that you see all over. Yes Im going to events and event checkin in page. It shows a list of everyone even people not approved or canceled. it’s very bizarre. I don’t want our employees having access to our entire wordpress site. Isnt there just a URL they can go to outside of our wordpress admin? Why would people want their front desk 10/hr employee’s having access to their entire website system? You should add phone support, it would be way quicker. |
Ah ok, thanks. I’ve never seen that system before (I’m based in the UK)
Can you take a screenshot of this view please? Are you using the latest version of EE4? On my test sites I only see Approved and Pending Payment Registrations on the Event Check-in View.
They don’t need to have full access to the WP Admin. For example you can create a role that has access to only Event Espresso, or you also have the option for event more granular control to only allow them the ability to check-in users. For example here is the view for a user account that only has the capabilities to check-in users within Event Espresso – http://take.ms/Wa35M (they can not access any other of your sites details within the Admin) Is that what you are looking for? I can provide further details on how to set up a user account to do that. We currently do not have a front-end check-in you mentioned, I have created a request ticket to consider including this within a future version of EE4. Each user requires different set ups so we provide the capabilities you can assign to a role to allow for granular control.
I’ll pass your feedback along to the team. |
