Waitlist registration showing double amount due (ticket price x 2)

Hello –

We have an event that is sold out and accepting waitlist registrations. I am noticing that most of these are showing a double charge for the event ticket, as in these screenshots:

Note: this shows it is transaction 1/1 so there are not multiple tickets in one transaction.

In case it matters, this is occurring for almost all of the waitlist registrations for this event. There’s one exception I can’t account for, and two exceptions for registrations that I transferred into the waiting list from another event.

That’s weird, Were you able to replicate the issue?

Can you show me the steps you did? you can use loom to record what happen.

Yes I just tried a test waitlist registration with the same result. I have made a screen video and will post it privately below (since it shows my personal details in the registration info).

Hello folks –

I hope you are making progress on this issue, and I may have something helpful to add. I noticed by accident that if I cancel one of these registrations, and then move it back to the waiting list (using the “Bulk actions” dropdown in the main Event Espresso Registrations list), the double charge is eliminated. I have confirmed this with a couple of registrations but have left most of them alone for now. At some point these records will need to be fixed so that people can pay the correct amount upon receiving an invitation to fill an opening.

Please do advise on status when you can. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing the initial resolution. No worries, our developers is already working on the solution.

We suggest to apply those temporary solution for now, as your client might received the payment link.

We will update you right away once our developer made some changes.
