Waitlist not working

I have created a waitlist and set the option use waitlist in the main event to yes and choose the waitlist event from the dropdown.

On my event page I see the event with button Register for waitlist (Aanmelden voor de wachtlijst)

When I click that button it just show me the details of the event but don’t see where to register.

Hi Bart, it should be the other way around. The primary (original) event should allow registrations until it reaches the attendee limit that is set.

Once that limit is reached, then there should be a link from the primary event to the overflow (secondary) waitlist event.

Could you double-check your steps with this tutorial?

Lorenzo, this is the case.
The primary event has 10 seats available, the second event has the waiting list. As soon the 10 seats are sold the button changes to register for waitinglist. This works. But when I click the button to register for the waitinglist the event details open but that’s it. Did you try on my site?

Hi Bart, this looks like the event (http://www.de-vriendenkring.be/VK/?ee=20) but there is a login prompt that appears. Could you temporarily lift that so we can see the event?

Thanks for that.

Can you check the event ID 20 (the waitlist event) and make sure that the Attendee Limit has been set to a value higher than 0, and that the “Display registration form? ” option is set to Yes.

Hi,

That screenshot looks like it is from the standard event (event ID 19), rather than the Wait list event (event ID 20).

Please check that the Wait List event has the Attendee Limit has been set to a value higher than 0, and that the “Display registration form? ” option is set to Yes.

You can find the Wait List event by going to Event Overview and change the Active/Ongoing filter dropdown to Waitlist and then click the Filter Status button (screenshot as I am unsure of the Dutch translations: http://take.ms/75L6u )

Ok, I changed the registration part on the waiting event and now I can book.
