Hi there..
I’ve created an event with a waiting list, but it is allowing people to book.
ideally it should show all the information, but then display some text, but no booking form (like it does for an event whose registration hasn’t started).
Can you help find out why this is the case? Looking to launch site on Friday 🙂

Im not quite following you here.
The Waitlist events are primarily used once an event has become fully booked, not as a precursor to registering.
So for example, Event A has 5 spaces, and WaitlistEvent B has been allocated to it. Once Event A has 0 spaces left a message will appear saying Join Waitlist, and people will sign up to WaitlistEvent B.

Hi further to this, I have been testing out the waitlist.
If an event is full and someone drops out, is the booking form active again?
is it possible to priorotise people on the waitlist rather than general public, who may stumble upon the event before someone on the waitlist does?

Hi,
The waitlist doesnt automatically transfer attendees over, that is up to the admin to do. If the site is set up so that users can cancel their places themselves then yes the spaces will become available on the main event again.

Thanks for this.
I’ve got it working so that when user clicks on ‘Join Waitlist’ they are taken to the new waitlist event.
The issue is that it that when a user books to a waiting list, it displays:
Thank you! Your booking is confirmed for Waiting List Helicopter Simulator Flight Experience
Your Booking ID: 16-5194b3c0bba31
A confirmation email has been sent with additional details of your booking.
e.g. it looks like user has booked on to the event. Can we change this message independently of a normal event?

Is it possible to create an email template with shortcodes about the main event rather than the waitlist event.
I want to create a link to the main event, to be sent out to people registering onto the waitlist event?
